The role

At Caravel, the sales team partners with our largest customers to understand their needs, unlock broken feedback workflows and help their employees analyze data and implement new strategies effectively. As a founding member of the sales team, you will be a brand ambassador of Caravel with customers and with teammates alike. You will report directly to the CEO and will have endless opportunities for cross functional collaboration as we continue to build and scale our business.

We’re looking for true business “owners” in this role who are excited to accelerate their careers and help us execute on our mission. Customer obsessed sales leaders that can understand customers' needs while creating value and have experience navigating and building relationships across the C-suite. You must be motivated and able to create a large pipeline of business, and close in quarter sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic plan for a large portfolio of Enterprise accounts across all industries
  • Sell Caravel’s Enterprise products to new and existing customers
  • Ensure healthy customer retention and expansion through consultative partnership
  • Implement sales strategies that create incremental growth
  • Orchestrate and lead all activities throughout the sales cycle from lead generation to closure
  • Promote our unique value proposition across several personas within an account
  • Be an exemplary ambassador for Caravel, both internally and externally
  • Partner across the Caravel team by collecting and sharing product feedback

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience
  • 3+ years of quota-carrying sales closing experience with a track record of over-performance
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Engaged senior leaders across the C-suite and all industries
  • Strong problem-solving skills, the ability and the desire to find solutions and build process where none previously exists
  • Operational excellence including management in CRM and informing decisions with analytics and data
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, diverse, and highly collaborative team environment
  • An open mind and passion to learn new concepts and skills
  • Smart, creative, and persistent; loves contributing new, innovative ideas
  • A proven track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical-thinking
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and autonomy; highly adaptable to new circumstances
  • Natural drive to find creative and efficient solutions
